Château Pape Clément is a wine estate in the Graves vineyard located in Pessac in Gironde . It is in the AOC Pessac-Léognan , in the Bordeaux metropolitan area . It appears in the 1959 Graves wine classification . With their smoky and spicy bouquet, the red wines are of admirable quality and very characteristically mellow. The wine is at once concentrated, fine and harmonious, presenting an aromatic palette as broad as it is precise. The depth and length on the palate are exceptional. The quality of the terroir, sustained efforts and dynamism have borne fruit, bringing Pape Clément to a level very close to that of the premier crus.
