Using expertise to realize a vision. Inspired by new trends and the worldwide popularity of French rosé, Daniel Caro decided to create the first premium Italian rosé on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Prompted by his years of collaboration with Patrick Léon and the Château d’Esclan, and the lack, at that time, of rosé expertise in the Italian market, he produced a new “lifestyle wine” of the highest quality, featuring all the elements of the top French rosés. Working with a team of local winemakers on the Costa Smeralda and with more than 25 years’ experience in wine production, Caro has been making the unique Conte Lemár rosé since 2017. Rich blush in colour. A gentle blast in the mouth. Conte Lemar is made from a single vineyard of 60 year-old Cannonau (Grenache) and Vermentino vines. Four month fermented in white toasted French oak barrels to obtain an elegant rosé wine. Grand Lemar is an impressive and concentrated rosé with accorded of soft peaches followed by a creamy finishing, spicy and hint of mineral notes rivalling any top white wine.
