Château Batailley is a winery in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced at the estate was classified as one of eighteen Cinquièmes Crus (Fifth Growths) in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.The color is dark, deep red. The surprisingly fresh nose is complex and delicate. The aromas of blackcurrant and cherry mingle with more floral notes of peony, then the smoky, minty nuances of the great left bank cabernets are revealed. The mouth keeps all its promises. Suave and creamy on the attack, compact and delicious in the mid-palate, it ends with a powerful and tasty finish. Lots of sap and freshness in this Batailley.
