The breathtaking 70 hectare wine estate in Simondium has been family-owned and managed since 1996, respecting its noble roots and continuing to build on over 335 years of heritage. In 2005, Vrede en Lust purchased the 90 hectare farm, Casey’s Ridge in Elgin. Situated next to a large body of water within the Kogelberg Biosphere, it is considered the most flora diverse UNESCO biosphere in the world. Stone fruit aromas with hints of orange blossom on the nose. Delicate notes of spice with creaminess on the palate, beautifully balanced by judicious use of oak.
