Before establishing itself in Meursault , near Beaune in Burgundy (21, Côte d'Or), the Boigelot estate had its roots a little higher up the hill, in the village of Monthelie , where Éric Boigelot 's great-grandfather had created, in 1918, a wine estate extending over 2 hectares. A few decades later, his grandson, Jacques Boigelot , took over the operation, expanding his ancestor's estate to 7 hectares covering the Meursault, Monthelie, Volnay , and Pommard appellations . He passed on to his son, Éric, all his know-how concerning the cultivation of vines and the production of wines Tasting notes often highlight a harmonious balance of fresh citrus fruits, green apple, and floral aromas, complemented by a touch of minerality and a crisp finish. This wine is typically enjoyed young to preserve its vibrant freshness.
